Studio Banana TV has been featured in the annual exhibition of the Spanish Congress of Architecture which has taken place in Valencia under the auspices of the High Council of Spanish Architects (CSCAE) on 4th July 2009 Studio Banana TV was awarded by the “Ciudad Viva” call for projects for its production “Sueñas Ciudades?” (Do you dream cities?) developed in collaboration with the creative platform Studio Banana Madrid. A representative of Studio Banana TV will be presenting the project at the awards ceremony in Quito, Ecuador, on 25th June 2009. The Studio Banana TV team following the European Design Labs 09 research group will be present at the Art 09 fair in Basel, Switzerland, the most prestigious contemporary art event of the world, and at the Design Miami fair. The Studio Banana TV crew will be in Basel, Switzerland, on 12th-13th May 2009 interviewing Jacques Herzog from the Pritzker prize winner architecture studio Herzog&deMeuron and Theodora Vischer, director of the prestigious Schaulager art institution. The Studio Banana TV crew will be in Barcelona between 27th-30th April 2009 interviewing a selected group of architects (Miralles-Tagliabue, Carlos Ferrater and Patrick Genard, Bach architects, Arturo Frediani, Enric Ruiz Geli, Clotet-Paricio, Bailo- Rull, Alday-Jover, and Callis-Wortham) as well as filming specific footage of 2 buildings by studio Miralles-Tagliabue: Gas Natural tower and the Spanish pavilion for the Shanghai Universal expo 2010. The Studio Banana TV crew will be in Vigo and Pamplona interviewing Irisarri-Piñera and Patxi Mangado, both architecture studios have been shortlisted in the X Biennial of Spanish Architecture. The Studio Banana TV team following the European Design Labs 09 research group will be present at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile design fair in Milan between 20th-24th April 2009. The Studio Banana TV crew will be travelling between Alicante, Granada and Seville in Southern Spain between 1st -3rd April 2009 interviewing a selected group of architects (García-Solera, Martín Lejarraga, Jiménez Torrecillas, La Panadería, Cruz-Ortiz and Morales-de Giles) as well as filming specific footage of the brand new Medina At-zahara visitors centre by the studio of Nieto-Sobejano in Cordoba. Avalon Productions and Studio Banana TV are proud to announce that the filming of the F3 four short films has started. The directors of the films are Julio Fernández Buxó (“Esquinas”), Marc Monje (“Nos vamos de este maldito barrio”), Jose Manuel Carrasco (“Solos”); and Juan Miguel Hernández (“Última Parada”). The Studio Banana TV team following the European Design Labs 09 research group will be present at the City&Art international forum in Istanbul between 6th-13th March 2009. |
