Michael Pitt for Yves Saint Laurent, Inez van Lamsweerde

Yves Saint Laurent’s fall 2009 men show in Paris opened with a short film directed by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. It consists of only a full-frame shot of Michael Pitt’s face as he listens to an unseen woman talk to him erotically about clothes in French. Very Yves Saint Laurent: suggestive but classy, never obvious, moving always between its own edges, but always pushing them a bit further.
