Chinese artist Yang Fudong is the director of First Spring, a short film for Prada’s Spring/Summer 2010. In it the artist succeeds not only to show the collection but to create a narrative and atmosphere sustained throughout the whole film.
This season, more than ever, the collaborations between the worlds of fashion and video art have strengthened and it seems as if each season will call for a new link between these worlds. It makes sense, in the end they are both art. Both parties help each other to emphasize the message behind the art and make it clearer for the viewer to understand.
