La Fabrique, Tania Maouraud

Tania Maouraud is a French photographer, performance artist and film maker. Her career started in the 1970’s and has often deal with a real engagement with our surrounding society and with actual engagement with the spectator’s consciousness about his/her role within society. This multichannel video from 2006 entitled La Frabrique (the factory) was filmed at a textile factory in India. The repetitive movements of the workers and the deafening sound of machines doesn’t leave the viewer indifferent.
