Diango Hernández is a contemporary internationally-recognised Cuban artist whose work is often categorised as “political art”. “Waiting” is a 2005 piece of videoart in which Hernández combines the melancholic song “No puedo ser feliz” (I can’t be happy) with a series of canonical portraits of political figures that have had in one way or another an influence in the history of Latin America.
