What else could we talk about?, Teresa Margolles

Mexican artist Teresa Margolles’ work deals with violence as raw matter. “What else could we talk about?” at the Mexican Pavilion in the 2009 Venice Biennale, chronicled the violence provoked by the battles of drug traffic organizations and their prosecution in Mexico at the present.

MUSAC exhibition, A Kassen

Danish young artist collective A Kassen often work with performative installations and sculptures. They were invited to participate at the Laboratorio 987 project within the MUSAC museum in León. Their pieces relate very closely to the building which houses them.

Underground, Marcel Dzama

Marcel Dzama is a young Canadian artist with a prominent exposure. His 2004 piece “Underground” consists of watercolours, ink drawings and root beer concentrate and it was exhibited at the MoMA in New York in 2007. This piece makes reference to the capture of Sadam Hussein, contrasting a long row of soldiers with the small hole in which he was hiding.
