Shape the Form, Kevin Zhong

This set of tableware designed by MDes graduate Kevin Zhong in 2008 for Chinese YinCha meals aims to revive declining cultural experiences and traditional values. In order to maintain and promote cultural practices and experiences, this set of tableware depends on its form language to guide and constrain user behavior, as expressed in the product name: Shape the Form, Constrain the Manner. The teapot is designed to encourage two-handed use, a sign of care and respect towards others. The trays and plates are shallow so users need to keep careful and gentle. Both sides of the stackable trays can used for different purposes and help managing crowded YinCha tables containing numerous dishes and snacks.
