Austrian performance artist Valie Export (born Waltraud Lehner) is one of the most mysterious woman artists of the second half of the 20th century. Her work often uses her own body as subject of investigation in her performances. She became quickly renowned through her performance “Aktionshose: Genitalkpanik” (Action Pants: Genital Panic).
