German artist duo Bernd and Hilla Becher, also known as the Becher, are amongst the most influential photographers of the 20th century. They are the parents of the famous Dusseldorf School of Photography in the 1970’s to which Andreas Gursky, Candida Höfer, Thomas Ruff or Thomas Struth belong. The Becher are notorious for their consistent typological photographs of industrial buildings in different regions of the world.
