Studio Banana TV interviews Victoria Acebo from Acebo x Alonso, a young and successful architecture practice based in Madrid and formed by Victoria Acebo and Angel Alonso.
They won the Young Architecture Prize 2007 at the 9th Spanish Architecture Biennial, and the first prize by the Colegios de Arquitectos de Castilla y León in the category of single family housing. They were shortlisted for the Mies Van der Rohe Award in 2000 and 2008. They have won numerous national and international awards and competitions, amongst them the Competition for the Green Wedge in Palma de Mallorca, the Arts Centre in Coruña and the Fair in Palma de Mallorca.
Since 2002 they are teachers at the Universidad Europea de Madrid. Their work has been published and exhibited widely, including the exhibition On Site at the MoMA New York and the 18th and 20th Venice Architecture Biennial.
