Studio Banana interviews Lidija Kolovrat, a Bosnian fashion designer and artist based since 1990 in Lisbon, Portugal. She is known for her conceptual and unpredictable take on women and menswear.
Her local studio is a platform for sale, research, work and discoveries. Working womenswear and accessories since her early years in Zagreb, Lidija started showing her first entire menswear collection in march 2006 on the Lisbon Fashion Week. With a strong, innovative and crashing vision her menswear has been shocking and inspiring the world of fashion consistently for the last few years.
Her 2008 collection, entitled In-Vento, was presented at the fashion store Makingthings in Madrid. It includes an array of compliments that wrap, embrace and extend the body in very sensuous ways.
