Gertrud Goldschmidt, aka Gego, is one of the most important Latin American artists of the 20th century, however she remains peripheral and unknown to the mainstream circuit. She escaped Nazi Germany and established in Venezuela where she developed a consistent body of work. Her most famous piece is Anudamientos, an amazing sculpture of wires and knots.
