Working Class Hero (A portrait of John Lennon), Candice Breitz

This is a powerful multi-screen video by Berlin-based South African brilliant video artist Candice Breitz. Her work, often dealing with appropriation, popular culture and re-sampling, takes a step forward in this choral piece performed by a group of John Lennon fans from around the world. It was first shown at the White Cube gallery in London. She has done similar videos around the figures of Madonna and Bob Marley.
