Ruiz Geli in NY Aquarium, turns the logic of the introverted house on its head. A series of red L.E.D. lights are woven through the cover’s fabric, a gentle reference to the thousands of gaudy lights that illuminated Coney Island in better days. Plexiglass balls hang down from the structure with little sea creatures swimming around inside. A series of overlapping steel plates run along the structure’s spine to shield the space from sun and rain.
